About us
Handsworth Junior Sporting Club was formed in the 1986/87 season by Mick Wragg, Mick Waldron and Bob Hill. The club has now progressed into one of the most respected clubs in the region offering junior football for both boys and girls from ages 6 to 16.
The current Under 11's team has experienced great succes during the 2005 and 2006 seasons by winning the Division 'A' Championship title twice and 1 knockout cup trophy. Season 2006/07 has seen the step upto 11 a-side prove very testing indeed. Currently sitting in 4th place results need to go in our favour to give us the chance of winning an unpresedented third Division 'A' Championship.
Summer 2006 proved to be one to rememder. The team entered 4 tournaments and won all 4 including the Umbro Cup in Manchester, which included a team linked to Bolton Wanderers. Although Handsworth's U 11's have had great success over the last few seasons fair play, fun and enjoyment is top of the priority list which is why we have entered the Copa Marbella Cup.
